These terms explain how TapLearn works, what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you. We've kept them in plain English. By creating a family account or becoming a member, you agree to them. Nothing here takes away your rights under consumer law.

Who we are
TapLearn is run by Digital Circle FZE, Business Centre, SPCFZ, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. You can contact us at any time: please email us at [email protected].
What TapLearn is
TapLearn is a website of interactive learning games for children from Reception to Year 6 (ages 4 to 11), with family accounts for saving progress and a skills report for grown-ups. There are no adverts, no chat and no contact between users.
Who can have an account
- Family accounts are for parents and carers aged 18 or over. You're responsible for your account, for the children you add to it, and for keeping your password private.
- Children play under your account. We only ask for a first name or nickname, a school year and a picture buddy for each child: please don't enter a child's full name or any contact details.
- Please give us a correct email address. We use it to sign you in, to reset your password, and for messages about your account and membership.
The free plan
The free plan is free for ever and needs no card. It includes all our free games in full, the first chapter of every members-only game, saved progress, and a summary skills report for each child. We may change which games are free, but games you've already started on the free plan keep your saved progress.
Membership
- What you get: every chapter of every game, the full skills report, and new games as they're added. One membership covers all the children in your family account.
- Price: £6.99 a month or £59.99 a year, our introductory price for first-time members. If you cancel and join again later, the price is £11.99 a month or £99.99 a year. Prices include any VAT that applies.
- Your price is locked: if our prices change, the new prices only apply to families who join after the change. Your price stays the same for as long as your membership continues.
- Payment: payments are taken by Stripe, our payment provider, on its secure pages. We never see or store your card details.
- Renewal: membership renews automatically at the end of each month or year, using the same payment method, until you cancel. We may email you a reminder before a renewal.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time, in a couple of clicks, from your Family account page. Your membership then runs until the end of the period you've paid for, and your family keeps the free plan after that. You won't be charged again.
- If a payment fails: Stripe tries again for a short while and your membership carries on meanwhile. If the payment still can't be taken, the membership ends and your family moves to the free plan.
Money-back guarantee and refunds
- 30-day money-back guarantee: if TapLearn isn't right for your family, email us at [email protected] within 30 days of first joining and we'll refund you in full. No questions asked.
- Forgotten to cancel? If you meant to cancel but a renewal payment went through, email us at [email protected] within 30 days of that payment and we'll refund it and end your membership.
- Apart from these, payments for a period that has already started aren't refunded, but you keep membership until the end of that period.
- These promises are in addition to your legal rights as a consumer, which they don't affect.
Using TapLearn
TapLearn is for your family's personal, non-commercial use. Please don't:
- copy, download, re-publish, sell or share our games, voice-overs, pictures or text, or show them on another website or app;
- share your account with people outside your household, or try to get around the members-only chapters;
- try to disrupt the website, get into parts of it you're not meant to, or collect content from it with automated tools;
- use TapLearn in any way that breaks the law.
Teachers are welcome to show our free games in class. If you'd like to use members-only games with a class or a whole school, please email us at [email protected] first.
Our content
The games and everything in them (code, designs, characters including Flip, narration, pictures and text) belong to us or the people who license them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. Using TapLearn doesn't give you any ownership of them.
We plan our games from the national curriculum in England and check them before they go live, but we can't promise every game is free of mistakes. If you spot one, please email us at [email protected] and we'll fix it. TapLearn supports learning at home and doesn't replace school or professional advice.
Screen time and safety
Our games are designed to be calm, with short chapters and a daily time limit you can set for each child. You're responsible for deciding how much your children play and for supervising their use of the internet.
Changes to TapLearn
We're always improving TapLearn, so games and features may be added, updated or retired. We'll try to keep the website available all the time, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. If we make a change that substantially reduces what members get, we'll tell members first, and you can cancel and ask for a refund of any unused part of the period you've paid for.
Ending your account
- You can delete your family account, with all its children and progress, at any time from the Family account page. If you're a member, cancel your membership first.
- We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Unless the law or safety means we can't, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close a member's account through no fault of theirs, we'll refund any unused part of the period paid for.
Our responsibility to you
- If digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll either repair the damage or pay you fair compensation.
- We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, or for any business losses: TapLearn is for personal use.
- Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Privacy
Our privacy page explains what we store about your family, why, and how to remove it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add a feature or the law changes. We'll show the date of the latest version at the top of this page. If a change affects members significantly, we'll email you before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you don't agree.
